Coffee Table
The table is made in pine wood battens in sections 20x20mm and 15x20mm. The structure consists on a frame that is repeated 22 times. Each frame is separated by randomly placed short sections of 15x20mm battens. This way, it is possible to have boards without needing to make them solid. Light and shadow become notorious thorugh the space between each frame. The surface looks as a pattern that keeps changing as the day goes by.
The final treatment of surfaces consist on a mix of natural oils and waxes (Sunflower, Soy and Thistle oil, and Carnauba and Candelilla Wax), which is micro-porous (allowing the wood to breathe, moisture can evaporate), and gives the surface resistance to water, dirt, and common household substances, plus giving it a clear satin finish that accentuates the grain and texture of the wood.
